Patroness of Canada, women in labor, grandparents, minors, mothers

St. Anne, married to St. Joachim, was advanced in years prior to conceiving a child. An angel appeared to her saying she would be with a child who “shall be spoken of in all the world”. She bore a daughter Mary and was eventually the grandmother of Jesus.
