A devotion to Our Lady of Grace is often associated with praise and thanksgiving for the graces received through the intercession of the Virgin Mary. According to legend, in 1412, the Blessed Virgin appeared holding broken arrows to symbolize protection against God’s wrath and a promised end to the plague.
